- Planning, sourcing, procurement & follow ups of material required for projects. - Arranging the material in time. - Procurement of material of good quality, cost effective and arranging delivery as per the schedule - Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials. - Plan the requirement and prepare the schedule for procurement of the material. Stay informative to know the market trends in terms of costs and availability and organize the procurements to stay ahead of the availability problems effecting project execution Process - Source material from competent, approved and absolutely reliable vendors. Make comparison statement, evaluate the vendor and their products to affirm their registration with us as our vendors. - Prepare format/ guidelines for requisitions/ purchase/ sanction /approvals/ contract management instructions, policies, and procedures. - Monitor the records of goods ordered and received and stock available at the site locations. - Prepare MIS. - Authorize Purchase orders and monitor the purchasing systems. - Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against supplies. - Master list (data-base) of Vendors. - Control purchasing department budgets. - Arrange for transfer of surplus material from one site location to the other with prior approval. - Determine suppliers product quality, pricing, supply/ qty schedule, their terms/ mode of payment with good quality at lowest rates and at good credit terms. - Timely procurement. - Locate alternate vendor in case of discrepancies and disagreement with the current vendor/ supplier. - On-line updation on the material and stock position at every site location. - Quality material procured with cost effective pricing, good credit terms and timely delivery.
