- Collating the requirements and approving the purchase orders

- Maintaining inventory to ensure timely delivery with a view to keep inventory costs to a minimum level

- Liaising with suppliers for issues related to quality and service; identifying the best local and international suppliers in terms of price, quality and service

- Executing monthly S&OP process and driving S&OP planning process and accuracy improvements; establishing the mechanism to track overall S&OP process maturity and leading key process improvement initiatives

- Selecting routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehouse and distribution

- Formulating demand planning including creating statistical forecasts, consensus forecasts

- Managing the tender process; reviewing, finalizing and approving service level agreements and contracts

- Coordinating with shipping lines and freight forwarding companies to get best freight rates

- Preparing reports related to purchasing like analysis of price fluctuation; additionally formulating obsolete stock report & related justification and presenting the same to the higher management

- Taking part in top level management negotiations as well as annual budgeting

- Keeping up-to-date with market trends in terms of innovation, technology, price fluctuations and other economic factors that directly or indirectly affect the company

- Forecasting materials using both constant and trend models, with special consideration to future consumption; developing and implementing key procurement strategies & ensuring the same are aligned with statutory requirements

- Developing vendors for better price, quality, delivery & increased volumes and identifying alternate vendors

- Preparing annual plans and budgets for supply chain & logistics operations; ensuring effective distribution of products to right market and at lowest cost

- Monitoring budgeting & planning of funds for the procurement and sourcing of materials ensuring optimum utilization of materials

- Planning & managing the overall procurement of material and production requirements including receipt accounting & maintaining desired stock levels; establishing inventory level goals for assigned materials, initiating action for review of levels in dynamic business scenario

- Streamlining the system and procedures for effective inventory control for ensuring ready availability of materials; devising efficient logistics management system to ensure delivery of finished goods

- Supervising the MIS reports related to Purchasing Volume, stock control, budgetary control, inventory management; fixing KPI and managing team performance, productivity & morale

- Identifying and developing potential vendors/suppliers for achieving cost-effective purchases of materials; achieving reduction in final procurement cost

- Managing end-to-end project operations from planning to monitoring the on-site activities and final execution for the new product development; providing design support to new product introduction of various products

- Monitoring development with respect to cost, resource deployment, time overruns and quality compliance
