Job Purpose :
- Develop Supply Chain Solutions and strategy to improve process efficient and customer delivery
- Drive process improvement and simplification projects across Planning and Logistics function
- Make supply chain processes and system future fit by leveraging IT
- Manage Manugistics process and drive improvement initiatives to harness potential of the Manugistics modules
Knowledge :
Educational Background :
Minimum Level of Education : Graduate or Bachelor in Engineering
Area of Specialisation : Commerce / Operation
Why is this Level of Education Required : Understanding of Business processes and analytical skills is must to perform effectively
Preferred Level of Education : Master in Business Administration
Area of Specialisation : Supply Chain / Operations
Why is this Level of Education Preferred : The job requires process improvement and excellence across planning and logistics function. Business acumen-ship with sound knowledge on supply chain management is desired to perform well.
Job-Related Experience :
Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required : Experience of 5-7 years in Supply Chain with 2-3 years for experience in handing Analytics and project management
Why is this Level of Experience Required : Hands on experience in planning and analytics is must to develop and improve processes
Other Job-Related Skills/Background : Experience in implementation and understanding of supply chain IT tool
Application :
Planning and Logistics knowledge is applied in following areas :
- Evaluation and Implementation of Supply chain IT tools
- Driving improvement in MIS and Analytics
- Framing the policy on parameter setting for Auto Stock Replenishment
- Creation of decision making tool through scenario building on Strategy Module
Problem Solving & Innovation :
- Would be responsible to formulate IT tools & process improvement. Implementing and sustaining supply chain tools is an essential role to provide solution in effective supply chain management
- High degree of Analytical & judgmental skills would be required to be effective in the role

- Explore best practices through industry benchmarking and identify improvement areas
Nature of Interaction :
- Please describe the nature of interaction that the role requires
- Work very closely with the Demand / Supply Planners, Logistics team, IT and Finance function
- Would play a very critical role in influencing the Distribution, Planning, Supply Chain tools and customer service to achieve the business results
- Highly develop communication skill will be required to interact with multiple stakeholders and in mentoring / coaching team members

- Partnering with external agencies or consultants to drive SCM projects
- Ensuring timely delivery of Supply Chain Planning system implementation in collaboration with IT
