The firm is seeking to add a Principal position to its team for its inaugural fund. This person will help source and lead new investments, help recruit, mentor and manage the portfolio companies besides running the day-to-day operations of the fund. Post investment He/she should be able to provide inputs to startups in various aspects of their business, work on establishing connects to potential customers and partners, establish a network of advisors who can assist the portfolio companies in providing inputs to the startups and generate new leads for them. Previous investment experience of at least two years is a prerequisite. Total work experience of at least 8-10 years in the tech sector is preferred. Qualities we would be looking for are: strong, attributable track record of past success in technology investing; past experience in working with diverse teams; ability to work in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments; and, an orientation towards and commitment to the venture capital asset class and of being a supportive, tireless advocate for the firms portfolio companies. Candidate would require collaboration, consensus building, accountability, an aggressive investment orientation, a passion for building a next-generation venture capital platform with like-minded peers, and on raising the game of those around you while they raise yours. Responsibilities: - Source new investment opportunities that fit Company's investment criteria; - Evaluate the investments from start to end. - Once the startup has been selected for investment, execute the investment process including managing the due diligence process. - Review and screen entrepreneurs pitch decks, conduct interviews with entrepreneurs, assist Partners and investment staff with due diligence - Assist the startups with their subsequent funding - Support portfolio companies on various management, strategy and funding issues; - Take Board seats at our portfolio companies, as appropriate; - Interact with entrepreneurs, advisors, limited partners, other investors, the media, lawyers and others in the tech ecosystem. - Develop his/her own deal flow and co-investor networks; - Assist the Managing Partner in all fundraising activities including investor meetings, introductions, documentation and presentation preparation, and travel (as appropriate); - Assist the team in doing Marketing activities which helps in fostering an ecosystem of B2B startups. - Act as an ambassador for the firm and its portfolio companies. REQUIREMENTS: - Knowledge of the B2B tech sector, especially startups, including products, trends, investors, and sophisticated and thoughtful understanding of the ecosystem is preferred. - Evidence of the candidates ability to network and establish relationships with senior level execs in Enterprises and potential partners for the portfolio companies. - Evidence that the candidate has executed deals which are cross border in nature. - Evidence of the candidates passion about helping entrepreneurs succeed - Evidence of the candidates ability to add value to a startup across a broad variety of contexts. - He/ She is expected to exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills; - Evidence that the candidate possesses a well-developed ecosystem of established relationships with other venture investors and entrepreneurs with whom the candidate can source and develop deal flow for the firm; - Experience working with diverse and often demanding personalities; - Evidence that the candidate can thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment - Work collaboratively with the anchor investors and there would a need to allocate certain time for travel.
