Principal Investment Officer - Fund Manager (12-15 yrs)

Position Objective:

The Principal Investment Officer will serve as the senior investment executive having an overall responsibility for the investments and strategy of the Fund. This person will be responsible for securing and managing the Investment pipeline, managing the investment program for the fund and playing an integral role in fund raising.

Leadership:

- The incumbent serve as the senior investment professional and an expert in all aspects of Investment and Portfolio Management for the Fund, from deal-flow to execution.

Project deal flow and Investment Management:

- Develop, evaluate and review deal-flow and project pipeline against investment strategy, risk and other investment criteria on an ongoing basis to ensure optimal and timely investment and performance

- Identify and funnel appropriate investment projects

- Perform and deliver financial, commercial, risk, tax and legal due diligence on the projects and recommend appropriate course of action

- Assess and present performance of the Fund's investment and measure against appropriate benchmarks

Portfolio Management:

- Ensure portfolios are tailored to meet the client's investment objectives well within his constraints

- Identify client investment objectives and constraints, draft investment policy statement

- Form Capital market expectations for forecasting risk and return of various asset classes, determine asset allocation strategy

- Select portfolio composition

- Execute portfolio in a timely and cost effective manner

- monitor and evaluate risk exposures of the portfolio and compares it with the strategic asset allocation

- Rebalance portfolio if necessary

- Report on status of portfolio companies regularly

Exit:

- Plan and document exit strategy

- Evaluate buyers

- Ensure accurate execution of exit in line with required thresholds

Compliance, governance and staff development:

- Ensure compliance of the Fund's legal and compliance requirement with relevant authorities

- Work with domain knowledge expert to analyse project proposals

- Prepare the Level 0, Level 1 and Level 2 memorandum for IC

- Develop and defend the investment thesis for each project

- Conform to the Investment and Risk policy and comply with the relevant laws and limits set in the manuals

- Supervise the due diligence process independently for assigned projects

- Implement investment and risk management policies in line with the Fund's mandate

- Manage and develop deal team

Fund Raising:

- Play a key role and be instrumental in presenting the investment case to various appropriate investors to support fund raising efforts

Requirements:

- ~12-15 years of experience preferably in raising funds and investing for a private equity firm/in in PPP/private infrastructure projects

- Graduation and post-graduation from a top-tier institute - preferably ACA/MBA
