Chemical Engineer + MBA from a premier institution with a strong academic background.

Premier institutes would include IIM A, IIM B, IIM C, IIM L, IIM I, XLRI, FMS, NITIE (only PGDIM course), SPJain, JBIMS or reputed international business schools. Candidates must have a good academic track record.

- Minimum 10 years of post MBA experience [Combination of Industry + Consulting experience would be an added advantage](total experience not more than 15 years)

Previous experience should be:

- In a reputed Chemical company in India in the sales & marketing function

- A minimum stint of 3-5 years in both sales and marketing functions is required. The balance period can be in the other function/s.

- Exposure to business development national / international

- Should have led a team of at least 4-6 persons consisting of mid-level managerial resources

- Exposure to consulting projects / Project management & execution would be an added qualification

And / Or

In any reputed consulting firm with

- experience of having led a team of 5 plus consultants

- experience of having worked extensively with Chemical clients of repute

- experience of business development and multiple client management

Required Skills :

- Structured thinking ability and good analytical skills

- Capabilities in development of customers, offerings, products & markets

Good domain know-how required covering :

- Understanding of Specialty chemicals market in India

- Applications and end-use segments of chemicals

- Marketing systems and processes in chemicals industry

- Basic knowledge of finance & strategy concepts is must in all candidates

- Good networking skills

Role :

- The candidate would be required to lead and expand the Chemicals Practice.

- The candidate would be responsible for the revenues and independent P&L for his practice and develop expertise in the service offering areas

- The candidate would be required to enhance brand image of the firm through actively seeking knowledge partnership, speaker slots and networking at industry events

- The candidate would be required to position himself as a thought leader through publishing his point of view (PoV) and thought notes.

- The candidate would be required to lead, negotiate and close business development activities with clients

- Their role would also entail managing client relations, managing team and giving overall guidance & direction to the team

- The candidate would be required to work across geographies

- Candidate must be willing to travel extensively

- The position would be based out of Mumbai
