Role Outline
The role of Principal Analyst - Strategic Business Solutions group is based at Citi Global Decision Management's Bangalore Center and reports to the AVP/VP leading the team. The key requirement for the role is the ability to work with data, understand the project objectives, undertake analysis to accomplish project objectives and present the results in a coherent manner. The individual will possess the ability to work in teams and display a proactive learning attitude.

A. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Business/ Department
Objectives:
Provide analytic support to the Global Customer Franchisee team, understand the business context, formulate and execute an appropriate analytical approach to address the business situation. Develop/ own comprehensive end to end solutions to address business problems. Drive innovative analytical approaches across the broader team and conceptualize and execute solutions to ambiguous problems. Independently manage end to end partner communication.
Officer - C11 will support Business Analytics initiatives for Global Customer Franchise team, as an individual contributor.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Analytic Project Execution:
a) Understand business priorities and work out data driven approach/framework and solutions
b) Hands-on execution on a variety of projects using conventional analytical techniques delivers on multiple projects & ability to manage timelines around them.
c) Knowledge of statistical techniques - testing, DOE
d) Knowledge of SAS and R
e) Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques and its applications
f) Knowledge of Next Gen and machine learning techniques (Preferred)
g) Ability to handle unstructured business question/complex data and generate meaningful business insights
h) Good understanding and working knowledge of Credit Cards business is mandatory. Having functional knowledge of Retail Banking is preferred. Ability to connect business rationale in data inferencing
i) Develop data led business cases to uncover opportunity areas and size potential P&L impact
j) Collaborate with colleagues to leverage best practices/gain knowledge on data, market dynamics etc.
k) End to end project management and ability to coach/transfer knowledge to team members
2. Business Knowledge: Develop business context and knowledge. Proactively seek out best practices and adopt the same in day to day functioning.
3. Communication: Independently manage communication with business partners
4. Team work: Effectively contribute and add value to cross functional initiatives. Train and coach others in the organization. Seek to learn from other areas within the site to improve analytic approaches for the team.
5. Organizational Development: Contribute to organizational initiatives in wide ranging areas including competency development, training, organizational building activities etc.

Education:
Highly numerate, as demonstrated by Masters in a numerate subject such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics from Premier Institute or a track record of performance that demonstrates this ability.
Experience:
- 4-8 Year's exposure to Financial Services
- Candidate should have worked in Credit Cards (Mandatory) and preferably in the Retail Bank, Mortgage, Lending/liability product)
