Designation : Chief Business Development Officer Role : Head Business Development Attributes/Key Skills : - Thinker cum executor - Cause and effect relationship in mind ( BD input vs. sales output) - Hands on approach - Cogent speaker - Ability to visualize the potential business opportunities - Great networking for brand building - Excellent presentation skills - Negotiation and brand building skills - Good humor to de-stress and being witty Job Description : - Head BD will provide fodder (supplier/channel partner/business growth enhancer) to the cow (sales team) so that organization gets more milk (sales number and profitability) - Forge partnership with other e-commerce companies, Government agencies, public and private business entities to enhance the brand visibility, accessibility, reach and brand image - Responsible for anticipated fulfillment of online rural buyers - Go beyond the conventional tie-ups and forge new model of partnership to make our platform more scalable and profitable - Short term objective of the job is higher sale but long term objective is stronger (sustainable) sale. The trick is to extract higher percentage of commission from the suppliers with a shorter credit period - Good networking, basic field research, balanced sourcing are key areas to focus. - Mapping competition in terms of sourcing - A good amount of coordination with CSO, CMO will smoothen the process Experience : - At least 15 years, out of which at least 5 years as head of BD or in a leadership role BD in FMCG/E-commerce with demonstrated results. Must have managed a BD team.
