Job Summary:

The General Manager - Marketing & Sales will lead the strategic and operational marketing and sales activities of the company. The role involves developing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with existing clients, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a job shop environment where customization and precision engineering are key.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with business goals.

- Identify and explore new markets, sectors, and client opportunities (domestic and international).

- Lead pricing strategy, product positioning, and competitive analysis.

Business Development:

- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers (OEMs, Tier 1s, etc.).

- Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations tailored to customer needs.

- Convert inquiries into orders by understanding client requirements and offering suitable manufacturing solutions.

Sales Management:

- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.

- Monitor sales KPIs, forecasting, and pipeline management.

- Ensure timely order booking, execution coordination, and payment collections.

Marketing and Brand Building:

- Plan and implement marketing campaigns, trade show participation, and digital presence.

- Collaborate with design/production teams to promote capabilities effectively.

- Develop promotional materials, case studies, and technical literature.

Team Management:

- Lead and develop a high-performance sales and marketing team.

- Assign targets, provide training, and monitor team performance.

- Foster a customer-centric and results-driven culture.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering; MBA in Marketing or similar is preferred.

- Experience: Minimum 12-15 years in sales/marketing in a precision engineering or component manufacturing company, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Technical Skills: Understanding of machining, fabrication, CNC, and custom component production processes.

- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical thinking, and leadership skills.

- Other: Willingness to travel frequently and manage key accounts hands-on.

- Sales growth and revenue targets

- Customer satisfaction scores

- Market expansion success

- Profit margin improvement on sales
