Practice Head - Islamic Banking

We are seeking a seasoned professional with business line leadership experience, capable of bringing the benefits of their years of success in product development, IT management, operational management or management consulting to our prospects, our clients and our firm. Broad experience with the development or management of Islamic Banking products and services is essential. The ideal candidate would have a deep understanding of corporate banking, and any additional background in retail, wealth management, brokerage services or card payment segments would be welcome.

- While currently the role is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Global Financial Services Practice Head, management experience is essential as well as a demonstrated ability to build consensus and inspire alignment across a range of stakeholders both for strategic and tactical initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

1. Drive revenue growth

2. Develop and nurture a deep expertise in the assigned vertical market

3. Proactively and effectively share expertise across the firm, and with partners and clients and ensure communications match industry standards and firm’s brand positioning

4. Support industry-relevant product development through ideation, requirements definition, process description, etc.

5. Catalogue knowledge and expertise for easy access by others in the firm and delivers training and seminars as needed

6. Represent the firm’s practice area expertise in new business and firm marketing efforts and to support successful client engagements

7. Contribute to the development of new business materials and presentations related to the practice area

8. Attend relevant conferences, networks with industry leaders, and seek out and optimize appropriate speaking opportunities

9. Develop ways for the firm to share its intellectual capital with current and prospective clients, such as firm-sponsored seminars, white papers, POV pieces, etc. in a way that establishes firm and person in the role as a thought leader

10. Identify opportunities to publicize the agency’s practice area expertise while leveraging analyst, social and traditional media relations

Qualifications:

- More than 15 years experience in the financial services industry with more than 10 years of line executive leadership or management consulting experience. MBA or equivalent required. Authorship of white papers or more, PR and marketing agency management experience, and demonstrated public speaking capabilities are expected. Ability to lead a management consulting engagement would be ideal.
