About the role : Porter has two verticals - Spot (On Demand) and Enterprise (Subscription). We are committed to serving our clients in a more efficient and convenient way. For our enterprise clients, it involves deeply integrating our services to the client's supply chain. After building and operating Vehicles-on-rent platform and then the Managed-Hub Offering, now we are starting with Warehousing+Last Mile to provide a complete distribution solution to our clients. Hence warehousing becomes a very important element to achieve our vision. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional multi-tasker who will lead the warehousing projects. This hard-working individual will be deciding all the strategic and operational aspects of a warehouse including the location, hiring, training, warehouse processes &amp; workflows. Roles &amp; Responsibilities : 1) Planning of warehouse(s): Decide the location, size, layout, manpower requirement and equipment of the warehouse(s), optimising productivity and overall costs 2) Manpower management: - Identify sustainable channels of manpower hiring - Design training process for fast ramp-up - Empathise with the team to ensure maximum retention 3) Design efficient warehouse management workflows for unloading, put-away, storage, picking, sorting, dispatching &amp; returns 4) Challenge the status quo of operations at regular intervals and come up with innovative and more efficient solutions 5) Customer Relationship Management: Take ownership and execute all client needs to ensure client satisfaction. Maintain a long lasting relationship with the client 6) Groom and develop subordinates to create a high performing team and cater to the team's growth aspirations Skills Required : - Dynamic, self-starter and highly motivated individual who would like to work in an intellectually &amp; professionally challenging environment - Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders - Leadership and team management skills to engage and motivate the team members - Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment to drive both strategy and ground execution - Affinity in setting up, reviewing and optimizing processes through a data backed approach - Excitement of working in a start-up environment with high level of ambiguity and change Qualification and Experience: BE/B.Tech Graduate (Tier 1) + 3-5 years of relevant experience, OR MBA (Tier 1 and 2) + 2-3 years of relevant experience
