Brief Role Description This role will be responsible for generating and driving branded content/advertising revenues by identifying prospects, building robust sales pipeline, developing- strategic business and sales plans, generating briefs for the creative team, understanding the brand needs and objective and effectively communicating with the creative team, working closely with the creative/editorial teams to develop ideas and integrated brand campaigns, preparing and making presentations, negotiating and closing deals. Setting the vision &amp; go-to-market business &amp; sales strategy for the business and developing and cultivating relationships at the highest levels directly with the brands &amp; agencies. The core area of focus will be strategic engagement with the client on their businesses &amp; steering the clients, marketing investment into delivering business results. Expertise in formulating and directing content strategies specifically with focus on digital video content campaigns. You will be responsible for acquiring new clients and executing retention and growth strategies of the existing client base through individual efforts and efforts of your team to meet the business and revenue target of the company. Will project manage all the client assignments and ensure the timely deliveries and the overall campaign objectives are met. Should be able to lead and direct own team and work collaboratively across various functions including creative, production, post-production, digital marketing, Ops, finance &amp; legal teams &amp; across all the group companies. Responsibilities -&nbsp; At Overall Level -&nbsp; - The incumbent will be responsible to lead the sales efforts in the marketplace, drive business development opportunities with a view to grow and become one of the preferred partners for all advertisers for their branded content requirement. - Sell creative media and branded content campaigns to top industry brands. - Formulate and orchestrate the sales strategy through appropriate understanding of branded content, digital content marketing trends, understanding of the brand objectives, category understanding, pricing and other strategic levers - Build a best-in-class team towards achieving performance goals, monitor and evaluate sales performance. - Set revenue targets for the team in conjunction with the business plan, build sales strategy to increase revenues and yield. - Enable decision making that is driven by analytical thinking and backed by strong processes while retaining the much essential art of sales (frontline thinking approach) - Engage with key clients (top brand advertisers) and introduce new client categories and open doors for the sales teams to engage with the clients. Build a robust sales pipeline. - Evaluate the market position of competition and strengthen our position. - To keep track of all latest content trends across platforms, advancement in tech and innovations in content production, best practices in branded content, content &amp; digital marketing by actively reading and- participating in forums and- industry- events.- Sales strategy -&nbsp; - Formulate the sales strategy closely with the leadership team. (in terms of geographic coverage for the regional market, industry, target clients &amp; sales mix and any other special focus areas) - Accurately track and forecast sales using an analytical approach. - Cascade &amp; communicate sales strategy and targets to the regional sales team and drive to achieve the numbers. Sales execution -&nbsp; - Innovate in sales process, tools &amp; techniques to deploy 'best in class' sales practices to sustain high levels of revenue growth - Deploy outreach strategy to build active sales pipeline - Create optimal sales mix packages to maximize revenue and increase market share - Optimize sales costs via innovative sales techniques to achieve bottom-line results - Drive the overall regional sales process i.e Identify-Pitch- Acquire- Convert- Retention-Account Mining. - Review sales performance, provide guidance to the team to achieve individual and overall targets Account / Client management -&nbsp; - Create a roadmap to identify and engage with clients - Identify, build and manage key accounts/ critical advertisers - Develop &amp; deploy client retention mechanisms by driving client engagement with a special focus on key clients. - Deploy on-going strategies for Account mining with an objective to up-sell and cross-sell within the client organisation. - Proactively service clients and help in resolving issues Team building -&nbsp; - Build and sustain a high-calibre team and monitor performance with a focus on learning/training and upgrading skill sets of the team - Build a performance driven team, which is centred on execution along with a culture of fun, trust and high productivity. - Manage the work, performance and professional development of the sales team.- - Defining individual team members KRA and appraise them annually.- - Directing activities for professional development of team members and to recommend promotion of the team members based on their- performance. Pitch development &amp; presentation - Understanding the brand brief/brand key challenges appropriately and de-briefing the creative team accordingly. - Brainstorming with the creative team to develop creative solutions for the brands based on their key challenges and overall brand objective. - Ensuring that the ideas/pitch which is being developed is in-line with the brand requirement - Working with the digital marketing lead and the team, media team and consolidating the pitch presentation for the client. To work closely with the media and content marketing teams to deliver the- integrated brand campaigns.- - Depending on the nature/size of the client and the pitch you will ensure that either you or someone senior from your team is part of the presentation along with the creative / production team. - Manage proposal development through all applicable phases - ideation, vetting, budgeting, presenting &amp; negotiating. - Actively participate in various meetings (Team, inter-departmental), as well as client meetings or presentations, as needed. - Depending on the nature of the client and the brief you may also need to develop ideas independently. The Person -&nbsp; - 2-5 year's + experience in media marketing and management, business development and branded content business preferably working in a large agency/publisher. - Have successfully set up branded content practice in past. - Experience in closing &amp; managing large media and custom content deals. - Content creation with Advertiser Funded programmes - Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and revenue target as set my management. - Deep understanding of the digital media and offline media landscape, effective sales skills and negotiation techniques and strong communication skills. - Expertise in formulating &amp; directing Content strategies to promote products and services; steering marketing investment towards delivering business results for client's - Strong organizer, motivator, team player and a decisive leader with a successful track record in directing Content projects from original concept through implementation to handle diverse market dynamics. - Ability to develop large branded content programs and campaigns- - Understanding of production planning, shoot,- post-production and budgeting. - Ability to quickly think brand integration ideas specific to the platform or show concept.- - Expert in and passionate about all things digital. Understanding of digital marketing, social specifically online video- - Existing client and agency relationships is a must. - Leadership skills - Ability to hire and lead a team of- sales and account personnel. - Strong interpersonal skills - positive attitude &amp; a team player.- Self-starter who can cope in a fast-paced environment - Resourceful and proactive multi-tasker with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.- - Excellent communication &amp; presentation and skills in order to pitch ideas to clients and also interact with the creative and production teams. - Understanding of video content production space will be a plus.
