Policy & Research Manager - NGO

Roles and Responsibilities of Policy and Research Manager:

- Develop and implement the policy, research and advocacy agenda in line with strategic and operational plans.

- Research, write and prepare papers, reports and submissions on a broad range of issues relating to air pollution in India.

- Prepare the policy papers, briefings and position papers to inform the BoM and support the CEO and executive team to fulfil their role of representing the organisation at conferences, meetings and other forums.

- Analyse and assess new and emerging policy, program and legislative initiatives from governments and other bodies for their impact on air pollution.

- Conduct research and oversee development of research activities in support of the organisations policy and advocacy work.

- Contribute to the development of a resource library by identifying publications, conference papers, journals and other written or electronic materials relevant to air pollution in India.

- Contribute to grants and tenders by providing evidence and information to support the process.

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

- Develop and maintain links with key stakeholders including government officials, funding bodies, and other relevant organisations and provide briefings as requested.

Requirements:

- Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative methodologies and research techniques.

- Minimum 5 years in social research, Public Policy or related field.

- Numeracy and confidence in using statistical techniques and software such as SPSS, R.

- Accuracy and attention to detail.

- Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.

- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
