TITLE: Accounting Analyst LOCATION: Bangalore DEPARTMENT: Finance REPORTS TO: Finance Manager JOB SUMMARY: Polaris is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our Shared Services organization in Bangalore. This role will support multiple departments and teams across Polaris- Finance Organization and be responsible for executing a variety of activities impacting product cost, financial accounting and internal compliance. The role will also support Polaris- initiatives to drive standardization and centralization while identifying improvements in processes and other efficiencies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: Execute assigned processes in a timely manner in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures which may include: - Driving completion of requisitions for tooling equipment and Purchase Order accuracy - Performing analysis of spend on tooling equipment for variance and identification of adjustments - Auditing Bill of Materials and product cost data for accuracy and missing cost - Supporting aggregation and analysis of freight activity to ensure invoices are accurately captured - Processing rebate claims submitted by dealers - Executing the Company's travel and expense audit program - Applying miscellaneous cash receipts from the Corporate lock box - Serve as a business partner to Purchasing, Engineering and Logistics, providing ongoing financial support for the purchase of equipment and product costing - Support efforts to standardize and enhance process efficiencies within Finance and Accounting processes - Maintain appropriate documentation supporting work performed - Effectively communicate status of activities assigned - Works closely with others to ensure full and timely resolution of issues - Collaborate with the Finance Manager and stakeholders to achieve successful intake of process activities - Provide financial support for special projects, as assigned. SKILLS &amp; KNOWLEDGE - Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required - 2-4 years of experience in Accounting/Finance required - Manufacturing experience required - Extensive Excel experience required - Communication - strong English written and verbal skills - Ability to share knowledge, expertise and opinions in a professional manner - Ability to maintain poise during difficult conversations with external or internal parties - Technical Expertise - problem solving skills with an attention to detail - Ability to handle heavy or varied work load WORKING CONDITIONS Position located in Bangalore, India.
