PNB Metlife India Insurance - Zonal HR Manager - South & West (12-18 yrs)

Context & Role: The incumbent as Zonal HR business partner will work closely with zonal business teams, through regional HR teams and co-ordination with HR COEs, to support zonal business objectives. This position will be based at Mumbai and will be responsible for West & South zone handling approx. 1800+ full-time employees in sales, branch operations & sales training functions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Designing, Planning, Monitoring & Execution of Talent Acquisition strategies to create talent pipeline, widening sourcing funnel, quality hiring, streamlining selection process, exploring low-cost sourcing channels, etc for all business functions in the agreed budget.

- Partner with hiring managers / zonal heads to develop staffing plans and build a pipeline for key & critical positions by mapping the industry in a structured manner.

- Ensure staffing of planned headcount with pre-agreed hiring timelines and source mix. All hiring to be done as per agreed quality parameters & within norms.

- Identify recruitment vendors for empanelment; assess and monitor the quality of Recruitment Vendors and develop effective strategies for vendor management and engagement.

- Work closely with talent management & L&D team and help in design & execute development programs for enhancing managerial capabilities.

- Effective execution and implantation of Performance management processes & policies including goals sheets, probation confirmation, career progressions/promotions, performance improvement process, etc for all sales employees, as per SOP & timelines agreed with the Business team.

- Design and implement plans to enhance employee retention, in partnership with the business.

- Provide inputs/counseling to employees regarding career growth, performance, and other work-related areas. Extend support/ guidance to their managers/ supervisors on the same.

- Manage & resolve employee relations issues ensuring effective, thorough and objective investigations.

- Analyse trends and metrics in partnership with COEs to develop HR solutions, programs, and policies as appropriate.

- Maintain knowledge of statutory & legal requirements/laws related to people & business practices to reduce legal risks and ensuring statutory/regulatory compliances. Partner with the legal & & compliance team as required.

- Achieve operational excellence in the implementation of HR processes such as hiring, on-boarding, performance management, HR operations, etc.

- Lead & motivate Regional HR team to drive efficiency & clear accountability in their roles; create periodic reviews / feedback framework to encourage two-way communication; Identify the development needs of all DRs & help them achieve their action plan.

- Partner with the business team to develop and monitor strategic staffing plans and cascade those in the regions / branches.

- Designing & implementing retention programs for employees in the zone

- Support with internal & external benchmarking exercises to advice Business with ongoing industry practices.

Desired qualifications and experience :

- MBA or a Post Graduate with a specialization in HR.

- Minimum 12 years experience, of which preferably last 5 years should have been in business partnering role and handling large geographies and employee span.

- Should have led a team of high calibre individuals.

- Knowledge and skills required

- An excellent understanding of the current people practices and systems trends and environment as well as local statutory requirements.

- Ability to handle stress and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

- Hands-on Experience on MS Office (Mainly Excel, Word & Powerpoint)
