Platform Product Manager - IT

- This is a change-at-scale role with the key responsibility for designing open, population-scale digital platforms in areas such as urban governance, sanitation and public finance management. Working with ecosystem players across samaaj, sarkaar and bazaar, these platforms solve for billions of Indians by catalysing and co-creating diverse solutions to deliver impact at scale and with speed in multiple localised contexts.

- The platform product manager has to shift the core from product to - platform first- . S/he will be responsible for communicating and leading the change for all the ecosystem actors across enterprises, academia, governments and nonprofits, from a solution-based approach to platform-thinking.

1. Platform strategy and understanding the big picture: The platform product manager will be responsible for setting the platform vision and strategy. S/he will build the platform roadmaps and will prioritize building blocks that matter most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives beyond the product in the platform.

2. Managing platform and product releases: The platform product manager will align product releases to the needs of the stakeholders. S/he will define the timeline of release and implementation of different products. S/he should follow a decision framework to guide the individual product's release on open source, private or public level.

3. Set platform design principles and key standards, and drive adoption: S/he will define the key design & architectural principles to ensure that mission delivers on its strategy and plans. In making these choices he/she will need to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders - citizens, communities, governments and market actors. The platform product manager will also work with the CTO needs to work creating and/or adopting necessary standards in the respective domains and evangelise their use. He/She will also drive adoption of these standards internally and within the ecosystem.

4. Catalysing co-creation and innovation at scale : The platform product manager will be a bridge between engineering, designers and ecosystem actors. S/he will oversee the creative process of ideating on products or innovative additions on existing products. S/he will ensure that feedback and requests are integrated into the platform planning and development.

5. Empowering ecosystem partners: The platform product manager will have to coordinate with different ecosystem partners and their mid-tier developers, producers and partners for delivering optimal values and rich experience to end users. S/he will have to empower all the ecosystem partners towards achieving a holistic platform
