Plant/Unit Head - Cement (17-30 yrs)
Position : Plant/Unit Head
Location : Umlaper - Plant ( Meghalaya)
The positions reports into : MD
The Following positions report into this position : HOD's
Theme of the Role :
- The Unit head will be responsible for overall performance of Technical Team including - Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, QC and Process. Mines could be a part of the portfolio depending on experience. The UH responsibility will be to ensure smooth operations, increased efficiency, reduced costs, Technical reliability and Performance of all factors of operations
Key Deliverables :
- Lead the technical teams to reduce costs, improve efficiencies and achieve production targets according to AOP
- Lead the overall plant operations as per company policies & guidelines
- Ensure optimum plant availability by facilitating and arranging all necessary resources for maintenance work
- Enforce Team Coordination of the technical departments for each department to achieve more
- Drive projects of 5S, Kaizen, CFT etc to get better delivery for plant results.
- Oversee all the manufacturing and process excellence activities.
- Maintain Stores and consumbles effectively such that budgets are well utilized and ensure availability of material.
- Guide the department Heads to ensure continual improvement in plant by monitoring and analyzing the process condition to improve the operational efficiency & energy conservation
- Plan all shut downs, and maintenance activities for the plant.
- Ensure team building, mentoring & coaching and necessary training/ qualification program are implemented timely at all levels of employee
- Create succession planning within each department.
- Training and Development of all teams in terms of skills and competencies required at the job.
- Manpower Management and Skill Development
