 Description - A chance to work with the Industry's leading producer of specialty chemicals and oversee entire operations at their Vapi plant, reporting directly into the MD. The person will be looking across production, manufacturing, maintenance, supply chain and quality, HSE, and Admin functions and will be ensuring that the policies and procedures are followed.

Client Details - 

Our client is a reputed and a market leading producer of specialty chemicals with a focus on sodium and potassium alkoxides. Having been in business for over 35 years now, they firmly believe in innovation and product development. With products available across customized segments, they have long been servicing pharmaceutical, coatings, agrochemicals and the coal industry in India. The business also has interests across resins and plasticizers. They are currently looking for Plant Manager based out of their Vapi unit to take the business forward to the next level.

Description - 

Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be responsible for :

- Planning, organising, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed their customer's expectations.

- Safety, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Administration and Maintenance at a plant level.


- Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while cutting unnecessary costs and adhering to quality standards.


- Developing systems and processes that track and optimise productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.


- Implementing projects based on Six Sigma/Kaizen/5S/TPM/TQM to drive continuous improvement.


- Maintaining the administration team and liaison with the external bodies for operational approvals.


- Owning the P&L of the plant taking responsibility of budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources.


- Maintaining high safety standards for a hazardous chemical plant.


- Vendor Management, Supplier management, Contract Negotiations and Customer Expectation management.


Profile - 

- An ideal candidate will come with BE/B.Tech in Chemical from a reputed university with core plant operations experience for at least 10-15 years. The person should also come with a strong personality besides good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with staff, clients and vendors.

- You should have managed plant operations for chemical company and demonstrated excellent track record in your last roles and should be ready for the next challenging role in a growing organisation.

Candidates well versed with local language will be preferred.
