HR and Admin Manager - India Head

Chennai

The HR Manager manages all HR & Administration activities for the plant, including recruiting, C&B, training, performance management, employee relationship and administration and ensures the local HR policies are in line with local labor laws and regulations as well the co.'s HR guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

Direct reporting line:

- Ensuring the fair and safe treatment of staff through the consistent application of HR & Admin. systems, policies and procedures

- Implementation of co. Asia HR structures and strategies in response to business needs, e.g. expansion or downsizing

- Coaching, supporting and advising plant management team and other staff on dealing with people related situations to best practice, as far as possible, and ensuring legal compliance

- Problem-solving analysis and resolution for HR & Admin. issues

- External liaison with union officials and claim handler etc.

- Maintaining the accuracy of employee data and records

- Coordinate and instruct personnel demand planning of the plant, as well as control and monitor headcount structure of the company

- Compile and execute annual recruiting planning

- Co-ordinating and supporting training and people development activities

- Organize compensation & benefit investigation and well understand the benchmark and salary level in the industry. Compile and execute fair and competitive salary system according to company's situation. Set up social and commercial insurance system according to state and local policy

- Compile and execute performance review plan. Monitor, instruct and review performance review of the plant and make action plan based on performance review results.

- Compile, revise and amend the standard labor contract. Organize the signing and renewing of labor contract and deal with employee complaints or labor disputes

- Manage the administration activities of the plant and be responsible for administration budget and expenditures.

Indirect reporting line:

- Assisting Head HR Asia in development of HR structures and strategies

- Assisting Head HR Asia in organization of best practice HR processes and guidelines in all plants.

- Assisting Head HR Asia in implementation of Group directives, regulation and standards in all plants.

- Assisting Head HR Asia in implementation of HR information system in India.

- Act as interface between Headquarters and plants for all Communications issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor/Masters degree in Human Resources Management or related field, certified Human Resources Professional designation preferred;

- 8 -12 years work experience in HR related functions, with 3-5 years in management role, experience in manufacturing environment is a must, automotive industry preferred.

- Fluent English skill both in oral and written;
