The Position - Unit Head

Location : Mundra

Unit Head/Factory Head/Plant Head/General Manager - Operations - Manufacturing


Responsible for the overall functioning of plant. To look after production planning, scheduling, plant maintenance. Monitoring of processes and functioning of all departments of the unit

Job purpose :

- To plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and control all the functions of the unit. To ensure that all the departments of the units are functioning properly and effectively in order to achieve the organizational objectives.

- To ensure that budgeted volume of production is achieved within the budgeted cost of the year. To ensure the quality of the product and the plant. To manage all the legal and statutory compliance of the unit.

Key Deliverables :

- Conduct Production & Operations Review with Functional leaders, to assess & analyze: Performance in terms of production volume, yield gain, conversion cost

- Review, approve & monitor the customer support system so as to ensure: Customer satisfaction, on time delivery, resolving customer complaints, identifying items as per specification and ensure stipulated specification.

- Lead execution of new project by commissioning new domestic plants within specified time and cost.

- Review, approve & monitor the process, procedures, Controls and Up keep of plant & equipments (Plant & equipment Maintenance).

- Discuss, review and finalize functional initiatives, objectives in alignment with the Business Unit strategy so as to integrate functional, individual work plans to meet business objectives.

- Promote and Ensure sale of Power

- Development of Team

- Dealing with IR issues

- Promote Employee Engagement Programmes

- Ensure safety of plant and employees

- Promote Corporate Social Responsibility programmes

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering with 16-20 years of relevant industry experience preferred;

Masters in Management from a premier institute is preferred
