We have an opening for Plant Finance Controller for our FMCG Client. The Position is based in Ghana. JOB DESCRIPTION BRANCH: SOUTH AFRICA DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: FINANCE/ADMINISTRATION JOB TITLE: PLANT FINANCE CONTROLLER SITUATION IN THE ORGANISATIONAL CHART: THE POSITION REPORTS TO THE COMMERCIAL FINANCIAL MANAGER JOB DIMENSIONS Scope Ghana Operations KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Key Responsibilities: Cost Management : - Factory cost analyses. - Calculate and analyse Standard Cost Estimates for products during Budget and Forecast periods. Maintain quarterly, actual and 12-month rolling forecast cost sets on SAP. - Analyse Labour; Overhead costs (Incl. analysis of manning levels, manpower and through puts on the lines) and explain variances. - Analyse Fixed Costs (e.g. Support Services costs) and variances associated with Fixed costs. - Weekly and monthly analyses of process orders and closing of process orders Analysis and reconciliation of the various variance categories with relevant corrective action. Prepare feasibility costing exercises. - Ensure that all PD inputs are accurate and relevant with actual. - Provide necessary support to management to Calculate the organisational performance in relation to the costs incurred and establish different methodologies to control costs. - Management of material master data. Budget Management : - Preparation of Fixed Costs Budgets (Incl. depreciation) by Cost Centre and by Work Centre. - Preparation of Indirect Labour Budget cost by Cost Center. - Preparation of Direct Labour Budget cost by work centre based on applicable shift systems. - Budget analyses and review against the business strategy. Activity Based Costing: - SAP.Calculate work center activities based on factory standards. - Evaluate the impact of cost drivers on the products and cost base of the product. - Maintain Statistical Key Figures in SAP and review and adjust annually. - Create and Execute assessment cycles (allocate overheads to work centres). - Analyse and explain over and Under absorption of overheads costs. Assets : - Safeguarding of assets, internal controls &amp; processes. - Depreciation and reporting. - AFCE- Calculations, reports and project management. Bill Of Material (BOM) Management : - Conduct BOM Audits and analyse it against factory yields and through puts - ensuring that floor practice matches BOM. Governance, Risk and Compliance Management : - Participate in Continuous Improvement programs in the factory. - Ensure site effective internal controls and assist Finance Manager with closing out audit findings. General Management : - Monthly explanation of movement in fixed expenses vs. budget and latest estimates.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual factory commentary (management reports). - Submit manufacturing statistics.System integrity. - Management of month end close and preparation of applicable journals. Perform various ad-hoc tasks. ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible to ensure all stakeholders for the plant have up to date and accurate information on costing and capital expenditure. To support the financial manager with internal controls over plant activities. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Qualifications - Tertiary qualification in Cost/Management Accounting. ICWA Preferred Experience - At least 5-7 years Cost Accounting experience gained within the FMCG or manufacturing environment Knowledge- MS Office including advanced Excel.SAP proficiency. Understanding of complex factory processes.
