Planning Manager - Construction Projects (7-10 yrs)

Key Accountabilities/Activities:

a. Pre-Construction:

i. Preparing basic project planning including schedule, resource histogram, project organization, logistic plan etc. based on the initial available data to understand the timelines, constraints, and strategies.

ii. Identifying Schedule and Cost Risks and mitigation strategies for the same.

iii. Presenting the planning in various formats for the various team-members to understand their roles, responsibilities, and timelines.

b. During Construction:

i. Planning:

1. Study of Drawings, Specifications, Quantities, Estimates, Statutory Requirements, and Site Data

2. Prepare master project schedule along with various other schedules like drawing requirements, material requirements, manpower histograms, project organization/ staff deployment, statutory requirements, milestones, and project cashflow etc.

3. Prepare Risk Management Plan along with risk identifications, mitigation strategies, occurrence schedule etc.

ii. Tracking and Project Close out:

1. Conduct periodic site meetings to monitor progress of work, co-ordinate activities of all

2. agencies and ensure that all outstanding matters, drawings, and decisions are resolved.

3. Co-ordination among all consultants and Client for timely inputs such as drawings,

4. specifications and decisions

5. Monitoring project costs and reporting the cost escalation and advice to overcome th same. Planning and implementing Change Control System to minimize their impact over cost and time

6. Monitor progress of work, submit periodic status report to client on execution planned &achieved.

7. Suggest necessary actions to keep the project on track.

8. Preparing delay analysis for presenting to client and consultants to achieve the EOD and claims.

iii. Management and Leadership:

1. Identifying talent requirements, sourcing, and establishing at project levels

2. Creating second level command for future requirements

3. Preparing standard formats for collection of data e.g. Daily/ Weekly Reports from project sites and other departments like procurement, contract, design etc.

4. Devising systems and formats for preparing and presenting reports on a periodical basis
