Mission Statement:

Build an engaged community of students to promote public speaking and creative writing at PlanetSpark

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Associate Director for Community Management would lead all community engagement activities to drive and engage the ever-growing community of students at PlanetSpark. The incumbent would lead a large team of community managers across several categories such as Debates, Podcasting, Theatre, Youtubing, Creative Writing etc.

Outcomes Expected:

1. Creative Planning:

- Lead the creative thought process for coming up with clubs, events and workshops for different aspects of public speaking and creative writing

- Brainstorm ideas with the community managers

2. Drive traction:

- Drive student participation through structured interventions, communication and product innovations

- Create student cohorts to bring a scientific approach towards driving participation

3. KPI tracking:

- Create structured dashboards for tracking category health

- Plan interventions to drive category health

4. Product Innovations :

- Come up with tech product ideas to drive participation and growth

- Liaise with the tech team to get the features implemented

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 7 to 12 years of experience in community management, category management or any brand role with a consumer tech startup

- A stellar extra-curricular record in graduation/post-graduation. Positions or responsibilities in fest organization would be a big plus

- Exceptional public speaking and creative writing ability with deep experience in one or more of the following: debating, creative writing, podcasting, youtube, theatre, short film making etc

- A very strong data-driven approach with a highly creative bent of mind

- Masters in Communication /MBA from a tier 1 institute would be an added plus

- An apparent Founder's mindset i.e. A mindset where the person can own up Community Management and shape it independently like a Founder
