PKC Advisory - Principal Consultant - Data Analytics

Background :

Experience at a leading consulting or analytics firm

Key Responsibilities :

- Overall responsibility for the analytics practice; leading execution and supporting business development

- Serve as primary client contact on all phases of the analytics project from problem definition through presentation, appropriately managing client expectations throughout the project

- Evangelize the value of analytics services internally and directly with clients

- Delivers executive-level business case presentations that successfully generate new business from the analysis performed

- Provide accurate work estimates and oversee delivery against budget

- Active engagement with various external vendors providing data analytics / data-mart services for execution of analytics projects

- Provide support to the Group Head for achieving revenue and profitability targets

- Support development of new service offerings and be responsible for preparing pre-sales pitches, approach paper and proposals

- Ensure organization design and team are in place to deliver against plans

- Create an environment where data and analytics professionals can develop their skills and grow their careers through taking on increased responsibility and adding value to the organization

- Actively involve in recruitment, team building and mentoring to develop subordinates

Desired Attributes :

- Strong executive-level client facing skills and ability to communicate complex analytical concepts with confidence to a non-technical executive audience

- Experience in ramping up analytics projects with new clients

- Prior experience in delivery of various customer analytics projects including segmentation, churn modelling, upsell, cross-sell and social media analytics preferably in Insurance & Banking sector

- Excellent understanding of data warehouses / data-marts and dimensional data models

- Ability and willingness to take a hands-on execution role where required to support client needs and team development

- Proficient in data analytics, reporting and integration platform like Python, R, Tableau. Proficient in SQL as well.

- Highly organized with an ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities

- Open to travel frequently and long duration for client meetings and project execution

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent Inter-personal skills

Experience :

- Minimum 10 years of experience in analytics delivery and management consulting working with ETL, Business Intelligence, Data Quality and Data Analytics. Of this, minimum 5 years- experience working in a management or leadership capacity

Education :

- MBA + Engineering OR

- MBA + Bachelor's degree in Computers/ Maths/ Economics
