Job Description - Role: Manager Finance (Indirect Taxes)
Location: Lower Parel (Mumbai)
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for compliances, assessment of indirect taxes, advising on an efficient tax structure for the business
- To ensure proper tax compliance related to GST being monthly payment, filing E-Returns, ITC availment, and attending Audits under the statute.
- To ensure proper calculation of GST Liabilities & Set-off as per provision of Law and filing of the E-Return.
- To take a part in negotiation with contractor along with commercial team and suggest/create effective tax structure for company (thorough knowledge of SAP system is must).
- Liasioning with external parties and statutory authorities such as GST, Sales Tax authorities, Service Tax Authorities, Tax consultants, handling assessment etc.
- Updating of changes in GST rules and notifications.
- Preparing various MIS reports / Schedules related to Indirect Taxation.
- Attend appeal hearings before the Commissioner(Appeals) for appeals before the ITAT / High Court
Necessary experience:
- Good litigation management skills, developing tax strategy along with senior members of the company, tax consultants.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and drafting skills
- Experience of working in a team
- Experience working with Realty companies (preferably)
