Annamrita is a non-profit, non-religious, non-sectarian public charitable trust. Formerly known as ISKCON Food Relief Foundation, Annamrita teamed up with the Government of India to help cook and provide mid-day meals to children in municipality and government aided schools. The work is done without any commercial motive and the benefits are available to needy students at large without any discrimination on the grounds of religion, caste, creed or gender.

Since the launch of the program in 2004, Annamrita has set up state-of-the-art kitchens and currently caters over 12 Lakh meals to underprivileged children every day from their kitchens in Tardeo, Mira Bhayander, Palghar, Nigdi, Wada, Aurangabad, Gurgaon, Delhi, Faridabad, Kurukshetra, Palwal, Tirupati, Nellore, Rajahmundry, Kadapa, Ranganara Gadda, Jamshedpur, Jaipur and Kolkata. The purpose of implementing this scheme is to support the Government in increasing the enrollment rate schools, reducing the dropout rate and improving attendance. However, as these are the formative years for the future adult, our nutritious plant-based meals are of prime importance.

Job Profile :

The Project Management Officer is in charge of using of using project management methods and tools to all the programs. S/he will play a key and active role in making initiatives a success. It would start with formalising an appropriate project management process, its institutionalisation, definition of charter, templates and checklists, organise structured reviews and follow-through them to closure. Under the guidance of Executive Director, his/her main tasks are to:

a. Enable Executive Director

- Provide a centralized customer focused office that not only plan, negotiate and analyze projects, but also redress the project related concerns

- Strategic overview and reporting on all finance initiatives to the Executive Director and Governing Board

- Bring in agility to the organisation and the ability to work at a fast pace

- Ensure centralized project data which enables better visibility into projects, greater understanding of how projects are aligned with organizational objectives, and improved insight into project status

- Implement governance standards across the organisation, including tracking, monitoring and updating the status of operations at all the branches in Maharashtra

b. Kitchen Operations

- Respond effectively and to work cross-functionally within the organization particularly with other branches and senior management

- Enable knowledge management sessions, support in presenting learnings from other branches

- Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing and sales in accordance with the policies and procedures established by Annamrita

- Demonstrate an adequate understanding of plant machinery; equipment; processing; blending; extraction; quality, and/or other requisite technical knowledge to engage in overall direction, meaningful conversation across functions

- Support in building up a repository of templates both technical and management related to support the Executive Director and Operations working group - use examples from current and past projects to identify best practice for metrics recording, tracking and analysing

- Organise workshops to identify areas of improvement in operations, documenting recommendations and presenting them to the Executive Director

c. Project Management

- Provide training to projects and programs management teams

- Support implementation of the quality strategy, including any processes and templates, across the kitchen operations

- Implement the change control process across kitchen operations

- Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each branch and particularly related to kitchen operations

- Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members

- Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective

Candidate Requirement :

- Engineering Degree /Diploma

- Three years experience in related field of managing supply chain operations

- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks

- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Experience of programme coordination/administration

- Experience of managing small projects, or exposure to the end to end project lifecycle, or managing substantial parts of the project lifecycle

- Experience of working within a structured project management framework Knowledge of project management tools and techniques

- On-ground experience with NGOs and understanding community needs

- Agile, dynamic and ability to work well under pressure

- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
