Piramal Foundation - Program Director - Gandhi Fellowship (10-15 yrs)
Key Responsibilities: The Program Director will Make GF an aspirational brand in colleges and larger ecosystem
- Build the Gandhi fellowship brand in such a way college students aspire to apply without the marketing push
- Establish the GF program as a pioneer and thought leader in developing 21st century curriculum (Building the next generation of leaders for a rapidly changing world who can manage disruptive change and sustain continuity by having muscle learning and understanding of science of influence, empathy, collaboration, and reflection)
- Establish brand connect between GF and 21st century education in colleges across country by building platforms/ forums for conversations/ awareness/ shared meaning on the need to develop 21st century curriculum
- Influence academia to incorporate 21st century skills in college curriculum through platforms like NSS.
- Increase demand and excitement for social sector engagement among college students
- Design and conduct events to educate target group on the value proposition of a social sector engagement
- Drive Public Private Partnerships between Colleges and larger ecosystem to increase participation for social impact and build leadership mindsets among students through platforms like NSS
- E.g., Design and launch revamped NSS initiatives in colleges to involve the larger academic ecosystem, Local Govt, NGO and community to contribute to local issues
- Make GF program as Gold standard for other fellowships
- Become Centre of Excellence / Country level Expert for Fellowship assessment + selection rubric, for youth outreach program for organizations / Govt / Fellowships across the country (e.g., Become the Fellowship equivalent of JEE for engineering college). Achieve this outcome by:
- Collaborate within the organization to provide technical support to recruit for Govt fellowships
- Explore collaborations with other NGOs to adapt the fellowship model and provide support to recruit for them
- Leverage social media to achieve goals of the Marketing Team
- Build social media campaigns to popularize the GF program.
- Provide direction and collaborate with Advertising agencies and event companies to advocate for GFP
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
1. In case of corporate sector: 10-15 years' experience with at least last 3-4 years at senior level position.; 5 years in Comms/ Marketing vertical with an exposure to dealing with Advertising
2. In case of social sector background: 10-15 years' experience with at least last 5-6 years at senior level position; Experience in youth engagement; deep understanding on Socio-Emotional Learning/ 21st century education MBA in HR / OD or MPP from leading global or Indian institution
3. Humility: Has a mindset of continuously learning and growing; understands what everyone brings to the table
4. Big Picture Thinking: Able to think systemically and at scale; identifies opportunities to expand influence / build program
5. People-First Approach: Achieves outcomes by developing team, is warm, social, approachable, non-hierarchical/ non-authoritative
6. Facilitation: Public speaking ability; Can hold conversations with diverse, senior stakeholders in academics, social sector
7. Objectivity: Has a strong analytical ability
