Job Description - Role: Chief Manager - Demand & Distribution Planning

Division: Consumer Products / Over the Counter (OTC)

Location: Kurla, Mumbai

Key responsibilities:

The role is part of OTC Supply Chain and the incumbent will be responsible for managing Demand and Distribution planning. The position manages the entire flow of products from Demand planning to delivery at CFA locations for invoicing and is responsible for Fill rates, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory and Primary/Secondary Distribution Cost.

The position will be responsible for

- Leading the S&OP discussion with Sales/Marketing of different Business Verticals and closing on the forecast

- Leading the S&OP discussion within the Supply chain function to release Purchase requisition and map supply schedules

- Responsible for maintaining service levels at each CFA for the product portfolio

- Review of inventory of each brand and responsible for planning/initiating and implementing corrective action plans

- Review of SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory) and preparing long term/short term plans for avoidance/liquidation

- Driving forecast accuracy across the brands/Business Verticals to improve service levels and avoid inventory build-up

- Responsible for developing Inventory policies and ensuring compliance

- Leading the team along with Marketing on consumer promotion offers and ensuring delivery/invoicing as per plans

- Co-ordinating within the supply chain team to ensure error free and on time delivery of new products at each CFA

- Responsible for developing, monitoring and review of SLA with key stake holders related to Demand and Distribution Planning

- Drive departmental KPIs. Review and manage supply chain cost and expenses to identify cost saving opportunities and identify efficiencies and economies of scale to reduce costs.

- Negotiate and finalize contracts of freight rates for Secondary distribution

- Evaluate and review the company logistics operations business practices, update and develop process documentation, streamline opportunities and eliminate non-value added activities.

Necessary experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in demand/supply/distribution planning in pharma/OTC/FMCG/Consumer Products space

Graduate, Full time PG / MBA in SCM from reputed Business School
