Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for US-based employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of US tax laws, including federal, state, and local tax withholding, to ensure compliance.
- Administer tax filings and ensure that all payroll taxes are accurately withheld and remitted.
- Handle payroll deductions, adjustments, and contributions such as benefits, 401(k), and garnishments.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies in payroll reports.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports as required.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in US tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions in a timely manner.
Must Haves:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in US payroll processing, with a strong understanding of US tax regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and tools, with the ability to manage large payroll volumes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly to employees.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in HR, Finance, and Compliance.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to meet payroll deadlines
