PickYourTrail - Product Architect/CTO

PickYourTrail is aimed at changing the way people experience Vacations. We believe that the current vacation process is extremely cumbersome with travellers having to visit 18-20 sites just to plan the itinerary. Post which, depending on the complexity of the vacation and the duration, they end up visiting 4-10 sites to make the bookings. The other alternative is to work with standard package tour operators who transport you from one attraction to the other. Having traveled to over 30 countries, the Founders believe that there is a sweet spot between boring package tours and time consuming self planning exercises. At PickYourTrail we are out to build a product with the right mix of tech and touch to ensure that you have the best possible vacation at the least possible effort.

We have a clear 2-3 Quarter Road Map in place and are working with a technology partner on the same. We are now looking for someone to come in and own the overall technology piece for us. The existing roadmap would give you enough time to understand the industry. You are expected to get your hands dirty initially but also posses the ability to build and scale teams as we grow.

Soft Skills:

- Understands and appreciates that chaos / randomisation is the only constant at a startup.

- Passionate self starter who is open to getting his hands dirty in the short term.

- In the long run he should be able to build and scale teams.

- Envision and manage the growth of tech vertical to compliment business growth

- Must be able to articulate clearly.

- Prior experience of high energy and intense environments - an added plus

Technical Requirements:

- Need a full stack developer

- Experience in building scalable products

- Believes that UI/UX are important

- Comfortable with cloud based deployments

- Android/IOS app development know how is a plus

- Handling multiple API, XML calls and integrations

Roles & Responsibility:

- Manage cloud infra and deployments

- Own the end to end product development and enhancements

- Prior experience in recruiting and building a team

- Product will involve both building exceptional user experiences as well as adoption of newer technologies.
