Job Responsibilities: - Performs credit analysis and underwriting activities, evaluating financial position and credit worthiness, for prospective and existing commercial/merchant/portfolio accounts. - Maintains and reviews current information on existing accounts. Reviews credit history to assess credit worthiness of new prospective clients. - Ensures a balanced risk and revenue trade-off consistent with credit policy and loss target expectations. Investigates the processing activity on accounts that have exceeded the parameters set in our risk management system and make a real time decision if the account is conducting business in a fraudulent manner or in a way that increases the credit risk exposure. - Investigations include the gathering of data from various sources and systems and interpreting the data. A successful analyst must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment and be able to make real time / accurate decisions. Overall having an understanding of risk management and how risk can be mitigated early through various controls at System/ Process level. - Ability to understand and apply risk management concepts; collect and analyse exposure and loss data, respond efficiently and effectively to internal and external requests. - The analyst must also be able to communicate effectively and professionally with Law Enforcement, Visa, MasterCard, Attorneys, Merchant Business Owners, and credit card customers who make purchases at our clients business. - Maintain current knowledge of industry and professional topics by attending relevant training sessions. May mitigate over $2.5 million in risk in a one year period. Overall Job Description: - Leverage all the traditional and alternate data sources like credit bureau, digital data, partner data, social media, and banking data to develop credit risk/fraud/marketing strategies. Analyze large amounts of data to derive insights and create innovative solutions. Innovate with a focus on developing newer and better approaches using big data and machine learning solutions. Develop portfolio MIS and track the portfolio performance and recommend course of action. Align closely with the client and business teams to deliver on the business goals through strong analytics-driven strategies. Requirements: - Minimum 2-year hands-on experience in business analytics - Risk Management area. Experience in financial services (Banks, Fintech, etc.) are preferred, but not mandatory. Understanding of the Indian financial market is desirable. Analytical rigor - the ability to work in unstructured environments with clarity of thought. Ability to work with data - expertise and comfort with extracting, transforming, and deriving insights from data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to prepare presentations for an executive-level audience - Experience in Risk Analytics using tools like Python and SQL to develop strong analytics-driven strategies. Skills: Hands-on experience in Business Analytics/ Risk Analytics/ Risk-Management tools including SAS/SQL, Python Education: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Master Of Business Administration (M.B.A), Bachelor Of Technology (B.Tech/B.E), Masters in Technology (M.Tech/M.E/M.Sc)
