About Business Team :

The role will partner with the Mass offline team which focuses on solving requirements of mom & pop merchants in the country. The scale of business is around 28+ million merchants spread across 200+ cities and towns in the country. The team is one of the largest within PhonePe and consists of 1700 on roll employees and 4000 off roll employees. The team is primarily a sales and distribution team and spread across the country. To manage this huge workforce the incumbent will have a team of 8-10 HR professionals reporting to her/him.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- End to end ownership for HR activities for the mass offline team including but not limited to talent acquisition, talent management, organisation structure, etc.

- Able to understand nuances of new business and help in designing the right organization structure

- Drive talent acquisition for the teams under her/his scope

- Partner with sales leadership team to deliver on business targets (revenue, growth, etc.) by providing HR solutions

- Expected to problem solve to unblock the business

- Expected to proactively identify opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness

- Identify workforce requirements (including third party contractors) through liaison with business and ensure that requirements are in sync with annual operating plan and organization's operating structure from a perspective of layers, spans, etc.

- Oversee the performance management process including goal setting, regular touch bases and final evaluation as per the decided timelines, for the assigned region

- Enable the talent process by holistic review of talent in the team for creating a strong succession planning bench

- Drive action planning for organization health & manager connect surveys

- Work with managers and identify the learning needs of the employees and design interventions in collaboration with the L&D team to provide appropriate learning intervention

- Expected to provide coaching on managerial and people development to managers

- Expected to design and deliver customized comp solutions for the business

Capabilities & Requirements :

- MBA-HR from reputed campus with proven working experience of 8-10 years, of which 4-5 years in business partnering

- Exposure to start-up environment is an added advantage.

- Strong business acumen & understanding of the business

- Drive for result, able to demonstrate/quantify success relative to established targets and metrics

- Must possess the ability to switch between execution and strategy mode effortlessly.

- Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders and be a team player

- Ability to manage a large multi-layered team
