PhonePe started in 2015 and crossed 1 bn transactions on its platform in Nov 2018. Currently we have around 360+ million consumers and 26+ million merchants partnering with us. Job Objective: The offline sales team focuses on driving PhonePe acceptance at offline merchants across urban and rural markets across the country. The Marketing Head is responsible for building a strong merchant base and ensuring a strong relationship with them. The role will require keen observation of merchant and customer behaviour, along with available performance data to modify and evolve plans and suggest product / process innovations for better service of customer needs. The incumbent will therefore be responsible for setting up a team to drive acquisition and quality targets in an efficient manner. Reporting Matrix: The role will report to National Head - Offline Sales and will have 2 marketing leads as direct reports and 5 regional marketing managers as indirect reports. Responsibilities: - Drive retail visibility across all verticals in Merchant Business Unit - Mass, Premium, and Enterprise. - Branding / marketing for market share - conceptualize scale projects to ensure merchant stickiness, and higher adoption of PhonePe - Design National collaterals to improve TOMA and preference of PhonePe in the merchant community - Monthly / Quarterly planning of marketing material - Collateral planning and Planogram formulation - Achieve operational excellence and timely execution of promotions, POS and consumer focused activities to ensure maximum visibility. - Drive audits for measuring efficiency of deployment of retail visibility elements - Improve acquisition and engagement for the PhonePe Business app - Drive awareness and adoption of PhonePe Business app features - Brand Presence / Awareness events (Offline) - Mall Activations /Canter /Marathons /Enclaves /OOH Planning for tactical campaigns, etc. - Drive various product led interventions to simplify and automate QR tracking resulting in increased efficiency - Manage the 'Scan and Pay' product on the consumer app through adoption of new users, and greater transaction depth from existing users - Utilize syndicated data, competitive intelligence, and macro consumer trends to best position PhonePe in the marketplace and to analyze the effectiveness of promotions. Requirements: - MBA from Tier 1/2 campus with good academic record - Have 7- 8 years of relevant experience in sales / field marketing / marketing - Strong problem-solving ability leveraging data and business understanding - Excellent interpersonal skills to manage situations on the ground - Orientation towards quantitative and qualitative analysis
