The primary purpose of this position is to manage and create insight-based innovative and disruptive products that drive growth and to enable us to keep ahead and differentiated from our competitors. Responsibilities : - Translate business objectives and corresponding plans to define a brand strategy with a compelling value - Benchmarking / Pilot Plant development/formulation of food products - Guide the Product Testing team - Physical, Chemical & Microbiological testing of foods. - Preparation of SOPs for new products - Transfer technology and regulatory functional inputs to manufacturing. - Implementing steps for curtailing product/ process rejections and defects, Carry out proximate analysis, nutritional evaluation, shelf life, and microbiological evaluation - Resolve manufacturing formulation, processing, and manufacturing issues on a daily basis. - Conduct projects to improve plant costs, product margins, quality and business excellence goals in product and process-related fields. - Keeping a keen eye on market launches, mapping of products to understand the market trend and proactively develop new concepts. - Sensory Evaluation and Shelf Life testing of Foods. - Plant and execute scale-up trials at the pilot plant and factory level. - Vendor development to achieve innovation in ingredients and processes and any other entrepreneurial task. - Monitoring statutory compliance with specification for in-house and external formulation. - Compliance to FSSAI rules and regulations for foods and label declarations. - Excellent command on Food safety standard act (FSSA)-2006 and its regulations (FSSAI,2011) and Codex Standards - Proficient in the manufacturing of various flavored syrups, Seasonings and sauces, and Convenience Foods. - Exposure to world-class research and new developments in the food and beverage sector. Education & Experience : - 8+ years of Multi-disciplinary product manufacturing of various flavored syrups, Seasonings, Savory, Sauces and Convenience foods. - Exposure to world-class research and new developments in the food and beverage sector. - Graduate in Food Science & Technology, Food Engineering, Thermal processing, Food Processing., - Knowledge of Food safety course will be plus - Must be able to present themselves well in front of peers and customers.
