You are a part of

The Central Tax Accounting Group which is part of the Group Tax Function with supporting offices located throughout the rest of the world. The Central Tax Accounting Group is a team of 7 FTEs who are collectively responsible for the consolidated corporate income tax position and related tax accounting processes within Royal Philips.

The incumbent will have close interaction with his/her your colleagues in Central Tax Accounting Group though our work also requires close contact with all the tax and accounting teams across the globe and Group Control, Group Treasury, Group Technical Oversight and Advisory and IT amongst others.

While this role is based in India, the incumbent will be a part of the global tax team and will be working closely with the team in Amsterdam.

You are responsible for

The position of Tax Accountant allows you to use your financial reporting and tax accounting knowledge to ensure the financial integrity and transparency of the Royal Philips IFRS consolidated tax position and related reporting processes. The role requires a multidisciplinary approach to ensure all stakeholders work together to produce timely and accurate reporting. While performing on current commitments, the successful candidate will look for ways to continuously improve the tax accounting processes impacting the accounting and tax teams at a global scale.

The incumbent will be part of the team responsible for the preparation of the financial and management reporting relating to the consolidated corporate income tax position. This includes preparation of the annual accounts and disclosures, quarterly financial statements and press releases, period management reporting along with any other one-off reporting requirements. Furthermore, he/she will be part of the expert team setting the policy and procedures for Philips IFRS tax accounting and as well as providing guidance in complex matters such as acquisitions and divestments etc.

He/she will be part of the central team leading the digital transformation of tax accounting processes and will work with accounting and tax provisioning systems and data. The incumbent will proactively identify further automation possibilities and collaborate with other Tax and Finance teams as well as IT teams to structure and drive the implementation of automation initiatives. Will facilitate the learning sessions regarding tax accounting processes, systems and reporting. Will participate in creating and reviewing the design rules for data strategy and data quality. Also, will be part of a team envisioning new and creative ways to utilize available technologies and promoting data standards and common practices. He/she will be part of the change management efforts for the operating model for tax accounting.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Central Tax Accounting Group is looking for dynamic and energetic candidates with strong analytical skills and a strong financial reporting and data management background:

Knowledge required:

- Master's degree in accounting / finance / economics, or CPA / CA level qualification

- Five to seven years- relevant experience in a similar role or a controller/auditor role within a large multinational firm or a business analyst role - big 4 experience is an added advantage

- Experience with working with IT systems and accounting and reporting solutions - experience with SAP and Hyperion Tax Provisioning tool is a must

- Experience with enterprise analytics and financial planning is an asset

- A good understanding of IFRS

- Knowledge of IAS 12 and a basic corporate tax background is preferred
