Reason for the hire:

Pollinate Group is seeking to scale its impact in the next three years. The Philanthropy team will drive growth in grants, individual donations and corporate partnerships, to secure new philanthropic revenue of US$1.3 million in 2022. As part of a small global fundraising team you will play a key role in achieving this organisational target and manage a network of prospects and donors in Australia, the US, India and the Netherlands. You will leverage your networks and fundraising expertise as well as our active charities in Australia (DGR1), the US (501c), and India (Section 8). The incumbent will have a proven track record in setting and achieving financial targets within fundraising and philanthropy. You will be purpose driven and seek to create meaningful impact in your professional career.

Must Haves:

- 5+ years of experience within fundraising, with a demonstrated track record of achieving results against targets

- Demonstrated experience in fundraising to targets of US$1-5 million

- Experience writing grant applications for US, Australian or European funders

- Demonstrated ability to build authentic relationships with global stakeholders with proven, strong facilitation skills and the ability to make asks to individual donors

- Demonstrated results in securing funding from grants and individual donors

- Strong capabilities in gathering information, synthesizing, and crafting compelling and relevant proposals; knowledge of data collection, proposal writing and grant management (including financial acquittals).

- High attention to detail especially in written communication, data analysis, and donor follow up

- Ability to work independently as a self-starter and a confident leader

- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to thrive in a fluid, entrepreneurial environment, and willingness to "roll up the sleeves" and extend beyond formal responsibilities as needed for the work.

- Demonstrated commitment to or interest in international development/women empowerment/climate change/human rights issues.

- Knowledge of the US philanthropy market is highly desirable.
