THE POSITION:

Category Manager plays a vital role in establishing new business verticals and managing the growth of the organisation. This is high intensity role which will test your abilities. The role is for people who are extremely motivated and do not back out in face of insurmountable situations. Pressure to deliver on numbers will be constant and 'proving your worth' is expected daily. Fast professional and financial growth is in store for extremely zealous and hardworking individuals.

ABOUT THE JOB ROLE:

- Own the various categories that Phable has within e-commerce.

- Be responsible for the revenue generation and management for these categories.

- Interface with multiple stakeholders in and out of Phable for the overall success of these categories

- Collaborate with product management, marketing, sales and with co-founders to strategize for the future.

- Analyze data to determine industry and consumer trends.

- Devise short-term and long-term strategies for various categories aligning with the business objectives.

- Develop entry and exit strategies.

- Team Management

- Understand the industry, market, and competition for benchmarking.

- Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.

- Determine pricing and benchmark it with the competition.

- Make forecasts for demand and ensure timely delivery and fulfilment of the deliverables.

- Be responsible for the P&L of the respective category and track success metrics like profitability.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- People with good aptitude, great attitude, collaborative nature, solution orientation, and ability to work with a team of diverse opinions.

- Proven experience as a category manager or in a similar role

- Solid knowledge of pricing models, consumer behavior analysis, revenue management, sales principles, and vendor management

- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methodologies

- An analytical and critical approach to solving problems.

- Showcasing great team skills

- An urge to learn and grow with the changing technology landscape.

- Proven experience as a team leader

- Proficient in MS Office

EXPERIENCE:

- 1+ years of category management experience in an e-commerce environment would be preferable.

- Familiarity with data analytics and data crunching tools

EDUCATION: Engineering + Master's degree preferably in business management from Tier 1 Institutes.
