Job Profile :

a) Key Objectives - Thermax is interested in creating a mark, for the first time in its history, by entering into the B2C domain. By the creation of a New Product Line, that brings to the direct consumer - limited series products which are equipped with the latest technological advantage. Thereby setting up the Incubation Centre, which shall closely work with the Thermax R&D vertical, in successfully creating a product line - in the Air Purification / Water Purification / Clean Energy (Fuel Cell) Application domain. The main of Incubation centre is to act as a Channel to connect New Products to the Consumer Market, by introducing in a Limited series product in Test Market.

- To create a market and development in the consumer / consumer specific new products developed by Incubation Centre. To work closely with the direct consumer market and act as the link between the Product development team and Market.

b) Major Deliverables -

- Study the current available technologies and develop new products. ( Design, development and launch of the existing Air purification technology)

- Understand all aspects governing Development process/ Product Costing/Quality Systems production activities & up to date knowledge of latest technological advancements, regulations and guideline.

- Understand the dynamics of the business / industry and mitigate the risk involved

- Develop a strategic business plan for the commercialization of these products in the market

- Monitoring global market trends and evaluating suitable business opportunities. Market Intelligence.

c) Reporting to Head - Incubation Centre

Essential Attributes- The candidate should have proven expertise and experience in commercialization of consumer durables products. He should also have a hands on experience to design, develop and commercialize the product.

- Analytical Skills - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data.

- Innovation - Displays original thinking and creativity; Meets challenges with resourcefulness; Generates suggestions for improving work; Develops innovative approaches and ideas; Presents ideas and information in a manner that gets others' attention.

- Should be well versed about various aspects of Supply Chain. An articulate communicator, deft in coordinating and negotiating with the vendors for cost effective purchase of components.

- Should exhibit strong People Management skills coupled with proven acumen in mobilizing and judiciously managing resources.

a) Total desirable Years of Experience - 10 -12 years

b) Minimum Years of Experience in relevant role - 3 - 5 years

c) Qualifications -

BE/Btech/ME/MTech and MBA

d) Desired type of Experience

Having worked in consumer durables / FMCG industry, developing products and creating marketing campaigns with key consumer insights, having built a consumer brand from scratch will be a big selection booster, Digital marketing understanding.

Additional Information-

We expect the incumbent to have held P&L responsibility in the past.

- International experience would be an advantage.
