Perfios - Manager - Business Development (10-12 yrs)
As part of our non-linear growth plans, we are expanding our target customer segments beyond financial institutions. We plan to address the credit delivery needs of large aggregators of buyers and sellers - for example ecommerce marketplaces.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Serve as the SME about the online merchant, payments & lending ecosystems
- Define the target market, TAM, revenue model and sales model
- Identify large and repeatable business- and product- needs related to credit delivery across target customers
- Work with internal product and engineering teams to develop appropriate customer experiences and scalable products
- Define, monitor time-bound success parameters, and make course corrections accordingly
- Test, refine, and develop a scalable sales & partnership model after initial experiments with early adopters
- If the pilot experiments meet success criteria, hire a small, hi-performing team to scale the business
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (EXAMPLES BELOW) :
- Vital: 10 years of experience in launching and scaling B2B product technology businesses
- Essential: Domain experience and relationships in target verticals - e-commerce, payment processing, online gateways
- Desirable: Strategic partnerships and ability to drive thought leadership with target customers
PREFERRED SKILLS (EXAMPLES BELOW) :
- A Startup mentality: comfort with ambiguity, a willingness to test, learn and improve rapidly
- People leadership: building and developing a high-performing team across business, product, technology
- External facing skills: Influencing and negotiating with industry bodies, thought leaders, regulators, etc.
