Perfios - Associate Director/Vice President - Sales & Business Development Head - BFSI Sector

We are actively seeking a highly accomplished, strategic, and results-driven executive to serve as the Head/VP of Sales and Business Development. This pivotal role is responsible for driving overall revenue growth, market expansion, and the strategic direction of the company's sales organization.

The ideal candidate must possess a proven history of building high-performance sales teams and securing significant market share growth in dynamic environments, with a preference for experience within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector or a complex product/platform services company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Revenue Generation & Performance Excellence (Driving and Exceeding Revenue Targets)

- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and business development strategies to consistently achieve and exceed annual revenue targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

- Establish and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and operational plans, ensuring precise alignment with overarching company goals.

- Implement rigorous sales processes, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to ensure predictability, efficiency, and accountability throughout the sales cycle.

2. Team Leadership & Management (Team Leadership)

- Provide inspirational and effective leadership to the entire sales and business development organization.

- Cultivate a high-performance, collaborative, and results-oriented culture that exemplifies the company's core values.

- Lead by example in complex negotiations and provide strategic guidance on all major transactions.

3. Growth Strategy and Market Expansion (Growth Strategy and BD)

- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new market opportunities, product applications, and strategic customer segments for expansion, with a focus on leveraging BFSI sector knowledge.

- Develop robust market entry strategies and actionable plans to capture new business and increase the company's market footprint.

- Collaborate closely with Marketing and Product teams to synchronize go-to-market strategies, product roadmaps, and value propositions.

4. Strategic Client & Partner Management (Key Relationship Management)

- Directly manage and cultivate relationships with strategic, high-value clients and enterprise accounts to secure long-term partnerships and maximize lifetime value.

- Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with strategic partners (e.g., alliances, distributors, resellers) to expand distribution channels and drive indirect revenue.

- Serve as a primary external representative for the company, effectively articulating our value proposition to C-level executives and industry stakeholders.

5. Talent Development & Mentorship (Talent Development)

- Assume ownership of the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous professional development of the sales organization.

- Implement effective training, coaching, and mentorship programs designed to elevate the skills and performance of all team members.

- Establish clear career progression paths and succession plans within the sales department to ensure long-term organizational strength.

Required Experience and Qualifications

- Experience: A minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in sales leadership and business development roles, with a substantial portion spent in a Head capacity.

- Industry Focus (Critical): Demonstrable experience and profound understanding of sales cycles and client relationships within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector is highly desirable. Experience in selling product services, SaaS, or complex technical platforms is also a significant advantage.

- Track Record: Proven ability to define, implement, and successfully execute strategies that result in exceeding multi-million dollar revenue goals.

- Leadership: Demonstrated success in building, managing, and motivating large or complex sales teams across different regions or market segments.

- Strategy: Deep expertise in developing and executing data-driven growth strategies and business development initiatives.

- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the capability to influence senior executives.

- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is considered a strong asset.
