Pepper - Management Consultant - Category (3-6 yrs)

Pepper (www.peppercontent.in) is building India's largest content marketplace that brings companies and content creators together to scale up content creation processes across 10 content verticals and 150+ content categories, 40+ content verticals, and 40+ global languages. Over the past 3 years, we've worked with brands like Adobe, upGrad, Swiggy, Dunzo, BusinessWorld, Digit, Shiksha.com, Rapido, BookMyShow, UrbanClap, Yatra, Bewakoof, YourStory, Bharat Matrimony, and 300+ other brands. We have over 30,000+ writers and graphic designers who have applied to Pepper so far, who form part of the 'Pepper Cloud'.

We are on the path to building a global on-demand content marketplace platform that allows for collaboration, discovery and upskilling for all our creators. Now we are in a rapid expansion phase to enter into more content service offerings, engage a wide spectrum of content creators and at the same time, scale up our existing services.

We're looking for someone who has strong consulting experience(3-4 years) with demonstrated research and first principle problem-solving abilities. Segment-wise Descriptions for the role of :

1. Strategizing and launching new categories

Market research and understanding of the launch category

Make use cases of each understand the market size and competitors

Work with the product team for creating work-flows around the new category

Work with supply team to create ICP of the supply needed for the category and ensure supply targets are given and adhered too

Create the category launch & USP deck and train the sales team

Creating a feedback loop with the category ops team to close the feedback loop for each SKU launch issue(product, customer expectation, supply quality, etc.)

2.Revenue & P&L management

Working with BD & account management teams on the sales funnel and creating full visibility of revenue both account wise for the category

Ensuring the sales team is trained for the SKUs and understands the ideal ICP for each of the SKU. Thus formalizing a process of training every new joiner for the same (including deciding the bare threshold of understanding any sales rep has before pitching the product).

Working with the account management team to track retention cohorts across clients and work with the category ops team in getting retainer expectation setting right.

Working with the marketing team to keep a check on campaigns and lead throughput through the campaigns, thus inbound funnel tracking to be monitored.

Creating margin benchmarks for various SKUs and ensuring the category meets AOP margin targets

3. Category revenue analytics

Working with the analytics team and envisioning the right reporting structure

Own all pricing decisions for all subcategories through market analysis and system data

The ideal candidate must :

Strong consulting experience(3-4 years) with demonstrated research and first principle problem-solving abilities.

3+ years of consulting experience

Deep understanding of how business processes can be set up and integrated into tech products

Positive thinking problem solver; flexible about all actions

Solid foundation in the deployment of scalable, low-latency, and highly efficient operational processes.

Team player, an ability to work cooperatively with the other stakeholders including business, supply, and product teams

Stronghold on various developments in tech, industry, and other related fields for business, marketing, and product long-term initiatives.

Strong business and product acumen to be able to solve business and product problems enabling

Ability to bring optimization in business operations overtime to enhance business margins

In-office role - Work location Mumbai
