Position Description:

We are looking to hire a core team member who would be responsible for the business development / fund-raising efforts and managing end-to-end relationships with existing and potential Limited Partners (LPs) in India and outside. The role would be to drive both pre and post capital commitment activities for both individual and institutional investors.

- Develop active pipeline of potential LPs for fundraising and execute outreach initiatives to source, engage and onboard them

- Build relationships with larger startup and LP ecosystems including financial institutions, family offices, fund of funds, private equity, HNIs, and government stakeholders

- Conduct extensive research to find new investors and maintain databases

- Work closely with GPs to design and execute investor relations strategies and to expand engagement with LPs including co-investments, portfolio mentorship and other synergies

- Liaison with external stakeholders (trustees, legal and finance) to monitor and track investor relations data, system and processes

- Create factsheets, presentations, quarterly/annual reports on portfolio milestones, achievements in fundraising, portfolio performance and any other key events

- Attend various events and conferences aligned with fund focus areas

- Execute a seamless process for timely communication and response to investor queries

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have the following attributes:

- A degree in business, finance, engineering, or a relevant field

- 2-4 years of experience in business development, investor relations, investment (PE/VC/Angel Platforms/Investment Banking) or consulting

- Experience dealing with government organisations and relevant regulatory stakeholders

- Strong understanding of the venture capital financing including exposure to ecosystem of family offices, fund of funds and other such private placements

- Good understanding of financial statements and relevant market data

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and good analytical skills

- Proficiency in information sharing and communication tools including spreadsheets, presentations, and other financial databases

- Outgoing nature, with liking for travel and meeting people

- Ability to build effective and mutually beneficial trusting relationships

- Strong networking skills and an existing network of LP relationships
