Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard the company's financial assets.
- Manage the end-to-end accounting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial records.
- Handle all taxation matters, including Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) compliance and filings.
- Coordinate and manage statutory and internal audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Optimize financial operations and processes across both our offline retail stores and eCommerce platform.
- Ensure smooth and accurate reconciliation of payments from various channels.
- Manage vendor relationships, including invoice processing and payments.
- Implement and maintain effective credit control policies and procedures.
- Implement, streamline, and effectively utilize Zoho Books and other relevant accounting tools and ERP systems.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and compliance requirements in India.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably within an omni-channel consumer brand environment.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or possess an MBA in Finance from a recognized institution (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong and up-to-date knowledge of Indian taxation laws, compliance requirements, and financial regulations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Zoho Books, Tally, Microsoft Excel, and/or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Proven experience in managing financial transactions and reporting for both offline retail and eCommerce sales channels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage financial processes and collaborate with other departments.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with inventory accounting in a retail environment.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platform financial integrations.
- Experience in implementing and managing internal controls.
- Knowledge of other relevant financial software and tools
