The Stakeholder Manager - Industry Relations plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of Workforce Skills (WFS) - qualifications and services, positioning Pearson as an organisation dedicated to addressing the employability skills gap, driving higher technical skills. As the Stakeholder Engagement Manager - Industry in India, you will drive business development and significantly grow our business through our relationships, endorsements and contracts with industry. Possessing excellent commercial skills, coupled with a good understanding of market, competitor analysis and customer needs, you will drive the growth and commercial success of the Pearson WFS portfolio; identifying emerging opportunities, leading on industry partnerships which drive the growth and expansion. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you: The main aspects of the role are : - Conceptualising short to long- term strategy with regional team, for driving industry engagement; - Working closely with the regional team, to drive industry engagement to help them identify and address the skill gaps within respective sectors; - Access partnerships with key employers, industry, corporates, and sector skills councils to understand the manpower forecast within existing as well as emerging sectors; - Stay invested at industry forums to share early indications of futuristic initiatives around technology and skilling; - Work closely with existing networks to support internship, placement and mid-course project requirements; - Work closely with varied stakeholders, amongst regulators to drive recognition and equivalence of qualifications across levels. - Access professional bodies to drive equivalence, and endorsement of our portfolio; - Liaise with Industry to explore internship opportunities for our learners. - Provide briefings and support to regional team for meetings with stakeholders; - Strategize - successful delivery of stakeholder engagement plans in accordance with the overarching global stakeholder engagement strategy. - Manage stakeholder mapping and prepare communications to stakeholders and respond to stakeholder enquiries. - Work collaboratively with other members of the regional team, help facilitate prioritising the support across strategic projects. - Prepare and manage workshops, roundtable and forum logistics including developing agendas, project plans, minute taking and production of reports. - Ensure accurate MIS is maintained of all stakeholder engagement and all contact/activities are recorded on stakeholder database. - Attend client-facing meetings, collaborative planning workshops and report to client on progress - Provide input into weekly/monthly reports to regional teams. - Attend Stakeholder Engagement Working Group and expedite actions arising Experience and Skills Required: - Significant experience of managing engagement with multiple stakeholders across industry, corporates and statutory bodies. - Experience in developing and successfully implementing stakeholder engagement plans, leading to commercial success. - Proven ability to work and multi-task under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations in complex environments, prepare responses/narrative quickly and clearly and use personal initiative. - Good interpersonal and networking skills, highly articulate team player. - Strong project management and people management skills. - Familiarity with using various CRM systems essential. - High degree of accuracy in executing work. - Ability to schedule work and deliver to tight deadlines. - Broader project communications experience and skills desirable. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
