Pearson - Reward Manager - APAC/EMEA (9-15 yrs)
Purpose:
The APAC and EMEA Reward partner is accountable for providing high quality technical compensation support and guidance to the business managers, HR and Finance in these two markets. This position will work alongside other members of Total Reward team, Senior HR Leaders and Business to advise on key reward topics including base pay structure, short and long term incentives (including sales compensation), and market benchmarking.
Key Responsibilities Areas:
- Partner closely with the business and with HR colleagues, building strong relationships to understand and respond to their reward requirements, ensuring all activities are aligned with the overall HR Strategy and Reward philosophy
- Manage and co-ordinate the Annual Salary Review process for the geography/enabling functions, including making recommendations to PEM, SLG and HR SLT as desired
- Review salary ranges annually in conjunction with the Reward Program team to ensure our pay structure remains competitive
- Identify and drive improvements to sales compensation design in line with Global Sales Compensation principles, and partner with Finance, Sales, and HR to ensure that the incentive programs offered are in alignment with the future direction of the businesses
- Ensure that any equal/fair pay issues arising are dealt with appropriately
- Support in participating in the external salary benchmarking survey
- Work with benefits team to benchmark and monitor the efficiency of current programs, Be a source of expertise on all projects/initiatives with a reward, benefits, or recognition impact.
- Support and educate Talent Acquisition for bespoke offers and salary benchmarks
- Enable and educate managers toward a more efficient Performance and Reward management process
Core Technical/Functional Competencies:
Essential:
- Strong subject-matter expertise in total reward
- Good understanding of different industry sectors, business models and sales processes
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office; particularly Excel
- Technology orientation
- Ability to produce polished and effective written communication

- Experience of broad based compensation
- Experience of reward partnering
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Qualifications & Training
- This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent qualification
