JOB PURPOSE: - Incumbent is responsible for the Digital Product Management & integrated learning management system supporting the Higher Education products. - These products represent a significant part of digital portfolio of the overall Higher-Ed market. QUALIFICATIONS & INDUSTRY: - Bachelor's degree or master's degree in management or equivalent. - Preferred experience in the Education or Tech or Edutech industry where one has strong relationships with potential customers in domestic higher education space. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: - 10+ years of experience preferably with a background where one understands product development in the digital space, with demonstrated success in defining and building excellent web-based products, and experience managing the work of other product managers. - Have creative vision combined with market research skills, digital content management, plan out successful product launch campaigns, reaching out to consumers and finding out what they look for in digital products. - Excellent team leadership skills including ability to enhance collaboration, inter / intra-team communication, and continuous process improvement. Ability to collaborate effectively and work closely with different departments internally - Excellent people leadership skills including the ability to mentor and develop exceptional talent of greater levels of achievement and job satisfaction, including the ability to mentor junior managers. - The incumbent should be mobile. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Product Development and product management for the Higher education digital products & services. Lead and manage the long term strategy of the technology enabled products and services across all HED - Oversee the development of a new online product, from its inception to its launch. Using market data, they manage existing products, and identify ways to enhance those products based on public perception. - Strong understanding of P&L and financials. - Act as a mediator between the consumers, sales and the technical teams, communicating consumer needs and translating those needs into new product features for the team to design. - Develop a key account / solutions capability from a content / product / platforms .perspective and support the sales team in their transformation journey. - Business Development within a view to expand the customer base for Pearson's Digital product portfolio in the HED - Make inroads into the B2C & B2B market with new products development and internal capability development. - Lead a high-performing product management organization in specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going dialog with customers and editorial/content teams. - Driving a solution set from conception to implementation via product requirements, visual prototypes, and functional & design specifications. - Delivery model responsibility includes purchase models, integrated course experience and design, integration of external learning applications and content services, and workflows of authoring and publishing of course-based products. - Regularly communicate product development status and facilitate transparent change-management for the product roadmap.
