Associate Director - Procurement Objective (Purpose of the Job) : Responsible for all purchase and procurement work for the organization; cost base of ~100 Crs. Negotiate with vendors to get best price's, consolidating/structuring transactions for optimal benefits and adhering to laid down policies/processes from a controls standpoint. Key Responsibilities : - Cost Optimization in sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, and miscellaneous internal procurement support activities - Develop, manage and implement comprehensive strategies that are in alignment with business objectives on agreed savings target - Cultivate strategic relationships with critical suppliers and clarify, manage and exploit opportunities in the interest of the company and the supplier. - Prepare, present and regularly review financial budgets and plans of Procurement and contribute effectively towards various business objectives - Is fully conversant with business environment and relevant supply markets. - Ensure Compliance of Procurement procedures, Terms and Conditions as per contract - Evaluation of Vendor Performance. - Negotiating and closing lease agreements and development of workspace is also a critical requirement of this job - Identifying and Development of specific vendors for High Impact Purchase items. Interact with key customer stakeholders to do the gap analysis and make the process more concrete. - Budget management - Access the capability of current staff, identify their training needs and develop them to maximize their potential. Required Candidate Profile : - Strong negotiation skills to use for large commercial deals and experience with modern sourcing and procurement systems. - Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk and in-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices - Knowledge of enterprise risk management and business continuity planning - Analytical mindset, but also creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches that have historically "boxed-in" procurement. - Must have excellent Sourcing Skills like vendor development, costing and negotiation - Must have hands-on experience of managing multiple stakeholders of conflicting interests. - Highly collaborative and willing to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. - Strong relationship skills, including the ability to influence positive outcomes and develop strong partnership/relationship - Excellent organization, project management and time management skills.
