This role is responsible to lead all sourcing activities such as tactical buying, bidding, contract management and supplier management for any of the direct/indirect spend categories. Experience in Spend analysis will be added advantage. Skill set required: - Proven capability in ethically driving the sourcing function to be effective and efficient business partner. - Experience in project spend, workplace services, marketing, merchandising, logistics, transportation, warehousing, professional services among others. - S2P cycle for indirect categories, non-IT &amp; projects (supplier discovery, RFx, negotiations, contracting &amp; PO, services &amp; material receipt, vendor payments &amp; vendor performance management). Experience of IT procurement will be an added advantage. - Innovations - Experience of using new age technology tools for setting up efficient processes, lower costs, paradigm concepts etc. Experience of leading implementation of analytics/ AI/ ML based tools for forecasting and monitoring spend will be added advantage. - ERP - Must have led at least one end- to- end ERP implementation for Source to Pay process. - Have an understanding of industry trends as well as Procurement - Best Practices- and pursue and guide the Purchase team in adopting these as appropriate for different spend categories. - Guide the purchase team and be a facilitator for all sourcing activities: - Solicits bids, negotiates with suppliers, makes recommendations, qualifies and contracts with new vendor. - Manage internal customer relationships by leading cross functional sub-category teams, developing deep category knowledge and to aggressively track and improve non compliance with preferred supplier(s). - Maintain good level of public relations with outside suppliers as well as a strong partnership with internal stakeholders. - Manage and optimize functional sourcing support activities while ensuring adherence to corporate standards and purchase policy. - Drive performance improvement initiatives and lead the procurement function from a people dependent to a process driven function: - Draft and/or evaluate supplier scorecards and conduct supplier performance validation. - Conduct supplier profiling and financial risk assessment - industry bench marking and market intelligence reports independently. Required Competencies: - Proficiency in written, oral communication, presentation skills with ability to communicate effectively. - Team management, adaptability and collaboration - Excellent analytical abilities and business acumen. - Should be a self-starter, self-motivated who can work effectively under minimal supervision. - Consultative Skills - e.g. Industry best practices, process definition, cross functional experience/exposure etc. - Excellent time management and prioritization abilities. - Hands-on skills in sourcing and category expertise in direct and indirect categories across multiple industries. - Masters in Operations/Materials Management, CPIM, CSCP, APICS certification would be preferred.
