Partnerships Lead for Blood Donation in India

Overview

We seek a Partnerships Lead to help us work with key partners in India on blood donation product.

Part of larger Social Good efforts, the new product aims to address blood shortages by increasing voluntary blood donations. It works both by encouraging users to register to become blood donors and by offering a way to those seeking blood (blood banks, hospitals, individuals) to reach out to a Facebook audience. The product was launched in India in October and recently expanded to Bangladesh and Pakistan.

A critical component of the product's success is working with major partners (Blood Banks, Hospitals, Non-Governmental Organizations, Universities, Corporations) to increase awareness and to run blood drives. We are looking to hire a Partnerships Lead on a contract basis who would be charged with maintaining the strong relationships that the Partnerships team has already developed in India, as well as recruiting, vetting, onboarding, training, and managing new key partners.

Develop an intimate understanding of the Indian blood donation ecosystem

Partner engagement and support:

- Continuously update list of priority key partners (including Blood Banks, Hospitals, Government agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations, Universities, Corporations)

- Manage ongoing relationships with partners

- Assist in Page creation

- Assist in Events Creation

- Assist in organizing blood drives, including potentially on weekends

- Recruit potential partners

- Vet potential partners to determine if a good fit

- Onboard and train selected partners on the product and generally

- Roll out new features and products

- Remain in close contact with teams including Policy, Privacy and Communications to use appropriate messaging and to navigate any potentially sensitive subjects

- Remain in close contact with manager based in California (because of the time difference, this will involve some conversations and work after normal business hours)

- Provide organized reports on a daily/weekly basis on status of partners and events

- Use internal tools and dashboards to make sure product is working properly (sending out the right number of notifications at the right time)

- Provide feedback from partners to product team

- Provide advice to scaled growth teams, whose task is to expand the product from a small number of Strategic Partners to a much larger number of smaller partners
