Chief of staff

Chief of staff Role :

The Chief of Staff will be a key member of the CEO's leadership team and will act as a strategist, advisor, and decision-maker through involvement with go to market, operations, recruiting, and special ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate will act as an extension of the CEO to balance priorities, communicate effectively, and maximize the effectiveness of the leadership team.

Responsibilities :

1. Work with the CEO and the leadership team to set strategic priorities: Identify areas where the leadership should direct their focus as well as define, develop and track metrics for success.

2. Managing CEO's daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual meetings, and engagement across internal and external stakeholders.

3. Handle special projects that are highly important to the CEO and to the company. Be able to draw a clear definition of what success looks like for each project and help drive execution to attain success metrics.

4. Through effective project management, support business critical projects and initiatives, which require the CEO's close attention.

5. Help keep a pulse of the business and connect dots with others across the company.

6. Manage investor relations, monthly board meetings and MIS development.

7. Coverage to run and explore new areas of opportunity without distracting or diverting resources from the rest of the company.

8. Determine key performance indicators for the company and have mechanisms set up to ensure they are regularly updated and reviewed.

9. Challenging the assumptions and numbers behind the scorecards and reports you use to make important decisions.

Requirements :

1. Master's degree in business administration, finance, or a similar field.

2. 3+ years in a consulting, business or executive management role.

3. An entrepreneurial approach; you're a self-starter who loves to own things end-to-end.

4. A proven ability to solve ambiguous problems by applying frameworks to get to the first principles, aligning resources on the goal, executing, learning, and adapting.

5. Experience partnering effectively with cross-functional teams or projects.

6. Experience working with C-level executives.

7. Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

8. Able to cope up with the fast pace of execution and context switching.

9. Effective Program Management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic and operational initiatives.

10. Start-up experience is a plus.
